Director's Statemet:
The moth is an interesting creature. Mesmerised and dazzled, it flies so close to the light that it can burn itself. Like these little creatures, people move to big cities, mesmerised by their scale and blinded by the possibilities. And just like this dangerous light, the light of big cities can be destructive.
Moth is the story of a working class couple who move to London with high hopes but face the difficulties of surviving in the city. It is a story about the ordinary people we meet on London's streets, the people the capital is full of. People who give up most of their wages to pay for housing and bills; people who can barely afford to have children. It is a regular story about those who move to the big city with hopes and dreams, but end up living in survival mode.
Dylan and Rose are one such example. The hardships of everyday life affect their relationship and become unbearable for the impulsive and vulnerable Dylan. Everything is falling apart, and the destructive light of the big city comes too close. This bright light that brings destruction and comfort at the same time.
